As we have entered the winter season, we expect muted marketing activities from Air Conditioner, Ceiling Fan and Air Cooler Brands. And that is reflected in the change in follower count of brands from these categories - Carrier (-1), Symphony (-2), Daikin (-14), Voltas (-51).
Similarly brands which deal in heating appliances like geysers are witnessing positive traction on twitter - Racold (+56), Bajaj(+28), Crompton (+80), AOSmith(+6), V-Guard (+20), Havells (+6).
We already know that brands like Hisense, Hafele, Dyson, Atomberg are investing in Brand Building activities for some time now, which is reflected in the increase in their follower count. Similarly we also know that some brands are struggling - Micromax, Intex, Godrej which is reflected in big decline in their follower count.
Panasonic and Polycab are witnessing a decline in follower count even after investing in brand building activities. This probably is a reflection of year end budget constraints or poor execution of twitter marketing.
